SPL aims to establish itself as a one-stop solution for the majority of solvent-borne polymers used in a wide range of coating applications. These will range from basic Alkyds to Acrylic Polyols, Amino resins – UF and MF, Polyesters for can and coil coatings, Polyamides & many more.

Laboratory

SPL is proud to have an excellent laboratory with a complete research and development center housing a pilot plant to polymerize various resins at small scale. The laboratory also has a full range of instruments and equipment to ensure full quality control of each & every batch of resin manufactured. As value add to our LOYAL CUSTOMERS we assist in any form of testing or bench-marking that will assist them to become more competitive.

Utilities

We operate our own electrical substation, a 440 kVA generator set to minimise manufacturing disruptions, thermic fluid heaters, and cooling towers. The site also includes a fire-water pump and fire-water dam to SUPPORT SAFE OPERATIONS.

Storage Facilities

We have a warehouse on site that can hold up to 3,500 finished goods drums at any one time, as well as a large tank farm containing stainless steel and mild steel tank’s. Our tanks are dedicated to specific products, thereby eliminating the possibility of contamination. As well as the aboveground tanks, we also maintain underground tanks to ensure adequate raw materials are available throughout the year for production.

Transport Facilities

In order to provide efficient and on-time delivery, SPL has a huge tank farm that stores both liquid raw materials and finished goods in bulk. To transport resin locally in and around Gauteng, SPL has ISO SS tanks & trailers, as well as transporters to help us deliver resin to any part of Southern Africa and the African Continent.
